Moments

Something frustrating:

Our neighbors are putting there firebird in the car show this weekend, and they were out revving the engine at 6:45 in the a.m. . Let me tell you, nothing is scarier to some little girls than a big old noise right outside their window. Mass screaming ensued. Why am I being so whiny? Because, Friday is my only day that we don't have to get up and get somewhere. Friday is sacred, folks. Sigh. And, boo hoo. Sigh some more ...

Something sweet:

Sophie and Maddie ran smack into each other today. They hit so hard it knocked them both down. Still lying on the ground, Maddie's first words were, "Sophie, you okay?". Oh, that girl. She is totally forgiven for the tantrum in Wal-mart yesterday.

Something weird:

Jeff got home today bearing pound cake, which I heart. He says, "How much do you love me?" Sophie pipes up from the other room with "five!". Maybe we should stop asking questions in her presence.

There is an ugly orange mustang two houses down from us that apparently can only rev it's engine right after the girls fall asleep at nap. I feel your pain!

We have a motorcycle lover right next to us who constantly revs his "hog" at 6am. Annoying! The first time he wakes up one of my girls, I am going out to scream...well, maybe not, but I'll think about it!

Kids say the funniest things! That's a cute story.

Glad the girls are OK from the smackdown!

I love the weird things that kids say. H weighs himself on the scale and says "I weigh 42 dollars". He refuses to believe me when I try to correct him with "pounds", and insists that I'm wrong, so now we just talk about our weight in monetary form. The pediatrician will be totally confused at our next weigh in.

For us, it's the crazed weed-eaters that live in the neighborhood. Seriously, who works in the yard at 2:30 in the middle of summer? It's scorching! And you should be at work!
