New Skill

Hey, do I look different? BECAUSE I AM A CHANGED WOMAN!!!!!!!
I am now a bow-maker. A maker of bows. For you boy moms out there, it's like if you had just learned how to make cars. Or dinosaurs. Think of all the money you would save if you could just make those things.
Woo to the Hoo! I am pumped. And caffeinated.

Here they are:

They are going to be the party favors for Sophie's birthday party this year. Can you guess the theme? It's polka dots! Jenny is doing the cake, favors are made and now I am stuck. Any ideas for activities? If the weather is nice we are going up to the church playground. But what if it rains?!?!?! Party planning is so not my element.

But, hey, I can make bows! My life will never be the same.

too cute! You should start selling them...they need their own blog. I need some! Danna Ramsey, you are the jack of all trades! I am excited about your new creation!

Cute bows! If it rains, you could play Twister, you could play Bingo with the Bingo dot markers, or you could just draw pictures with the Bingo dot markers. You could play "Dot, Dot, Square" like "duck, duck, goose". Hop-dots like hopscotch. Need anymore? Email me.

Yeah, good for you! They look wonderful on your blog. You should be so proud of yourself. I know you have many to finish, but you can do it! I want an update and to see pictures of all your new creations as they come!

I wish Nora and Elyn could come to the party because those are some cute bows! I told you they were super easy...they are! A good website is theribbonspot.com. Great ribbons and you can buy it by the foot.

Love Mrs. Brownstone's ideas. She sure is creative! I'm emailing her with my next party delimma.

CUTE BOWS!! I so need to learn how to make dinosaurs!;) I'm pretty lucky b/c homemade pretend fishing rods (i.e. long straight sticks) are super popular in this house right now, so I'm set for the moment!

Making bows saves you TONS of $$$$, let me tell you! You could do do-a-dot paint. They are like giant paint pens that make dots that you can paint with. Very cute.

That's awesome Danna. I agree - you should start selling them plus your smocking work. You would be a hit at craft fairs and consignment sales!

I love your creativity! I wish I was that talented!

Can I just say, "you make me sick!" Just kidding. I love the bows. You need to teach the rest of us. You are so talented, when do you find the time with three girls running around?

First, I'm so embarassed that I didn't realize who you were. Did I actually say, Did we know each other at HU? Once I saw your pic it clicked- oh that Danna! Sorry, just a mental mama moment.

Ok, now that that's out of the way! LOVE the polka dot theme and the bows. You could do a take on pin the tail on the donkey. Cut out big polka dots and do pin the polka dot on the ..... bow, elephant(or any animal), purse, whatever she's into. Make a large whatever out of butcher paper or posterboard. You could have a dot for each kid with their name written on it and let the dots stay where the were put then laugh at the finished product, have a small prize for the one who got it closest to... etc. You could go on a polka-dot scavenger hunt through out the house- polka dots hidden here and there like Easter eggs. You could do a polka dot hopscotch/obstactlce course with cut out polka dots to jump over, hop on crawl through(hula hoop with fabric covering, etc. What fun and so cute-maybe next year I'll do all this for Brady's 3rd.
I can't wait to read more!
