I had a grant writing training for the non-profit board I am on today. (Yeah, I know. Don't ask. I'm not sure what I am doing on there, either.) It lasted about 6 hours, which meant that Jeff was Mr. Mom for the day.
Usually, when I am out of the house, it's dinner - bath - bedtime. Busy, busy. However, today Jeff had them during the middle of the day, or the "peak hours" as we like to call them. I expected them to have lots of fun, eat lots of junk, and reek lots of havoc.
What I got was this: a clean house. 3 girls who got their naps. Outside play. A nutritious lunch. (well, okay, it was hot dogs. But at least it wasn't ice cream!)
Hmmm .... where's the chaos? the havoc? the crayon on the walls? the naptime meltdowns?!?!?!
Geez, Louise. I guess I'll be looking for a job...

That's one of those days where you don't know whether to be excited or not! It seems like every time we have a day with spankings, etc. ~ the next time Mr. Brownstone does the caretaking it's like having Mary Poppins around the house!
And about the non-profit board and grant writing, I HAVE to ask!
Yeah right....anyone can do it for one day....trying 4 years. I am sure he will gladly let you continue to have your job!
Way to go Jeff!
Eric does that as well. If I'm out for a while, he will clean up and have Hayley in bed at a decent time. He tells me, "I don't understand why you can't get things done..." One day is different than a continuous cycle!
Danna, I'm so glad your Saturday was that rewarding! Even if the training was no good, it sounds like it would have been worth it.
Thanks again for being there.
