Remember tickle deodorant?

Okay, I realized there is a huge generational divide between myself and my children today. They were playing with their pretend phones and were running around going, "say cheese, chair!", "say cheese, wall!"

Now of course, they had a major case of the sillies, so just ignore that.

But, could you have imagined as a child taking pictures with your phone? OR even having a phone that had no cord? That could fit in your pocket? I remember the first time we got a phone that was touch tone (ooh) not that dial thing-a-ma-bob.

Play phones were those pink plastic ones that the cords would get all stretched out and not make a pretty little spiral anymore. That is if the phone doubled as a microphone (as all aspiring Debbie Gibsons knew that it could) ...

Other things that doubled as microphones: Tickle deodorant, hairbrush, thumbs, one of the poles on my canopy bed, eating utensils, writing utensils... I'm pretty sure I never had a real fake microphone. My girls have two, and I expect Eliza to be asking for her very own any day now.

Fake camera phones? fake microphones? I am spoiling them rotten.
Maddie and Eliza under the dining room table where they spend the majority of their time. If you can't tell, they are posing for Sophie's phone. Not the best photo, but I don't like my blogs to be naked.

Brian and I often talk about all that is different for our kids. Kellen will ask if she can write an e-mail to Gram or if any of our friends have posted anything new on their blogs! She's SIX years old!

I'm always telling my son about the differences in his world and the one I grew up in. It's amazing..isn't it! Love your stories and pictures!
